What clothes should my child wear to classes?

Ideally comfortable clothing that they can move freely in (see below for examples).

Appropriate Clothing to wear for Wigglephonics
Tops

T-shirt
long sleeve top
vest top plus a sweatshirt
hoodie

Tails
Jogging bottoms
leggings
crop jogging bottoms
shorts
cycling shorts
Feet
Bare feet on hard/dance floors*
trainers on floorboard
(*Your local teacher will be able to advise on suitable footwear for your venue)

Do I need to stay and watch?

This depends on your child's age and Wigglephonics class (see below).

Class (Programme)
Parental Guidance Notes
Babble Baby We encourage parent participation and pro-active observation
Wobble Toddle
We encourage parent participation and pro-active observation
a-b-c-dabra First Steps
Please wait outside the class. From our teaching experience at this age we believe children can concentrate better when they do not have an audience. However if your child feels anxious being left we are happy to have you sit in until they feel more confident in the class
a-b-c-dabra
Please wait outside or leave your child for the class
Superphonic
Please wait outside or leave your child for the class

Do I need to provide a drink?

Yes please, a small bottle of water or weak squash is sufficient (no fizzy drinks or pure fruit juices in the classes please). We think it is important children learn about staying hydrated, especially in hot weather. However we believe children can last 40 mins without needing to drink every few minutes.

Your child's teacher will give time for a water break if necessary (on hot days) and ideally your child will drink their water at the end of the class.

How much do the classes cost?

At present the cost of each class is determined by you. You should pay for the value you and your child get from each class.

Do I have to commit to classes long term?

Currently you can turn up for classes on a week-by-week basis with no further commitment. For maximum benefit from the programmes we recommend weekly attendance. Weekly attendance helps keep things fresh in children's minds.
